Scala is an apartment complex distributed between three towers. The towers share communal services such as parking, an event hall, a gymnasium, and swimming pool. Each volume has independent access, linked by a connecting lobby that faces the street. Each floor has two rationally laid out and spacious 180 and 230-square-meter apartments. Split-level penthouses, with pergola roof gardens, crown each building, which creates a playful interaction between the exterior volumes.<br /> <br /> In the pent-houses the advantage of an apartment and a house are combined.<br /> The pent-house is distributed in two floors, the first has a living room, a dinning room, the kitchen, and bedrooms. In the second floor is the T.V. room, time off spaces and a study, such as a roof garden which is integrated with this area.<br /> <br /> The towers are white and the arrangement and size of the interior spaces is expressed on the exterior. The dining rooms are encapsulated by two-floor glass blocks, which form the corner-pieces of the structures. Strips of emery glass provide privacy to the interior, and are alternated with normal glass to let in plenty of sunlight. Square windows in the bedrooms and studies are placed to offer the best views. A series of superimposed aluminum lattices clad the services to block views from outside and allow for natural lighting and ventilation. Each apartment has a living room, dining room, kitchen, an extra room adjoining the dining room, three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a study.<br /> <br /> The best orientation of Scala offers magnificent views of the Valley of Mexico.
